A card to pull at your heartstrings …

The Heartstrings range has just been released, as part of CTMH’s Seasonal Expressions range.  Which means this paper range is only available until February.  Wedding season is about to hit NZ full force, and although I don’t actually have any invitations to attend one just yet (!), it’s always good to be prepared right?!  And I thought my devoted Card Creations crew would feel the same way.  And with a wedding, you want a card that’s just that little bit extra special.  So here it is.  I LOVED making this card – the paper range made it so easy to put together.  Everytime I look at it I just smile.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I found the cutting guide on Pinterest – click here for it.  It’s a great size, as it fits in our standard size envelopes – which just makes life that little bit easier. 🙂

I used the stampset Celebrate Love, B1459 – click here to see/order it.  As you’ll see, it’s a beautiful little set.

We did simple colouring using ShinHan markers in Carmine, Turquoise Blue, Leaf Green and Cherry Pink.  And to enable the colouring to happen without bleeding, we stamped our images using Archival Black Ink.    LOVE was stamped in cranberry, and all of the papers were daubed – using Lagoon, Hollyhock, Cranberry, Black and Whisper.  All of the paper is from the Heartstrings paper pack, other than the white daisy paper for the message box, and the stunning teal glitter paper.  And to finish it off, as no card is complete without a little bling, we have an itty bitty sparkle on the heart, and silver sequins.

Here’s a closer look at it from other angles;

So, what do you think?  I’d love you to leave a comment.  Thanks for looking.

      LOL, yes it did go a little beyond my standard ‘simple’ signature. But sometimes you’ve just got to step outside your comfort zone! Nothing like a challenge to finish the year on!! 🙂
