Welcome to the ‘This Happened’ CTMH March Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop.

If you’ve arrived here from Amy Ulen then you’re doing a great job hopping. If you just happened upon me, welcome, feel free to continue the SOTM inspiration by ‘hopping’ along to the next person at the bottom of this post. There are a great group of consultants from around the world participating in this, if you lose your spot along the way, the full list can be found HERE.

‘This Happened’ SOTM

The scrapbooker in me fell in love with this stamp set from the minute I saw it. It’s just one of those stamp sets that you know you’re going to use over and over again in your albums. It’s got all sorts of useful little images.

A long time ago I saved a layout on Pinterest. It was the starting point for this page.

'This Happened' SOTM Scrapbooking Layout
A super simple but stunning layout created using the March SOTM This Happened.

The background paper is from the CTMH Feels Like Home paper pack. Anyone else in love with any rustic woodgrain paper??

Let’s dissect it, so you can re-create it at home.

The other patterned papers used are from the Mix In paper pack. This was designed to extend your range iwhen using any/all of the current paper suites. This makes it extremely versatile – if you don’t have it yet, order it now!

The tags I custom made in Cricut, starting with a tag from the Art Philosophy cartridge. You can access the file HERE. I cut these from Kraft paper. The other cardstock used is Glacier and White Daisy. To finish off the tags, I used White & Gold Ribbon.

Stampsets

There are actually three stampsets used on the layout. The first is obviously the ‘This Happened’ March SOTM. I used 5 of the images on this layout – can you find them all?

I also used the Brushed Letters alphabet set (my absolute favourite for titles), and the Feels Like Home – Scrapbooking’T

Where I used the alphabet will be obvious, perhaps the other one not so much. Check out the little ‘grungy’ dots next to the wreath stamp – that’s what was used to add a bit of ‘texture’ on the page.

Here’s a close up look at one of the spots, so you can see what I mean;

I like taking the ‘cleanliness’ off some of my pages, and it really suits when you’ve got a background paper like this one also. It’s very subtle, but it does help tie it all in.

Got more photos than fit on your page?

Last but not least, I added a flip flap. Have you ever used flip flaps?? They are the BEST. Do you ever have more photos than space on your page? If you answered yes, then flip flaps might just become your new best friend. They come in a range of sizes to suit all your standard photo sizes, and others. Check this out;

So my friend, thanks for visiting. If you like what you’ve seen, I’d be so appreciative if you’d click the like button below, or leave a comment. To carry on the inspiration, it’s time to hop over to Melissa Robinson’s blog.

If you have a consultant, all of the supplies seen can be purchased through them until the end of April 2019. With the exception of the ‘This Happened’ SOTM, as that’s only available this month. If you don’t have a consultant, and are in NZ, you can shop HERE.

I hope you get to craft today 🙂
