3 Double Page Scrapbook Layouts & 5 Stunning Cards with Stampin’ Up! Frames and Flowers
Yep, you read that right! 3 double page scrapbook layouts and 5 stunning cards, with this one pack. The Frames and Flowers is a relatively small paper suite from Stampin’ Up!, but it packs well above its weight in its creative capabilities! In fact, what I love most about it, is that because of its design features, you don’t need to be overly creative yourself. This is one ‘puzzle’ that comes together all so easily.

It’s a little different from other Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers, because it includes die-cut elements.
In fact, you only get 3 sheets of double sided designer paper, but you also get 3 sheets of die-cut greenery elements, that of course, co-ordinate with the papers.
This paper was released long before the CTMH Makers joined Stampin’ Up!, so it’s easy to imagine that this was primarily designed for card makers. And it’s certainly easy to design and create beautiful cards in minutes with this suite.
But, as a scrapbooker, I also found it super easy to create with.
Personally, I love the colour palette, so that’s what I was first drawn towards.
In fact, when I purchased this pack early on in my SU career, I had no idea that I wasn’t just purchasing a pack of papers.
What a bonus it was when I opened it. :)
The Scrapbook Layouts
For this first scrapbook layout, I was drawn to create a wreath, because many of the die cuts naturally lent themselves to this.
It’s a little hard to see, but I did a little ‘distressing’ in the background with the ‘smooshing’ technique with plastic wrap and a light blue ink. For a little more background I used a stamp from the Regal Flora stamp set. And a few leaves cut from from the Changing Leaves die cuts added a little substance to the wreath.
This second layout is nice and simple to put together. Most of the pieces on the right are die cuts from the pack, that I’ve trimmed slightly. I’ve added depth to the layout with plain cardstock as the background, which also creates a lovely border. You could pick any colour that co-ordinates with the colours in the paper suite.
I’ve also left room to run a title up against the borders on the left page, which I’d do in the same colour as the background. The A La Mode Alphabet die cuts would be perfect here.
And lastly, the beautiful cuts from the Spotlight on Nature dies just add a little more interest to the circles.
Isn’t it amazing how different it all looks when you pick out a different colour from the range to highlight. Here I’ve picked out the Pumpkin Pie and chosen that as my dominant colour. I think this is a classically simple layout, with beauty in its simplicity.
Again, I’ve used the background stamp from the Regal Flora set to add a little texture to the background. Because I’ve used the Pumpkin Pie to frame my page, I’ve cut the centre out to save paper, and weight, and then used those cut outs to make the mattes for my photos.
The circles have a little extra dimension to them added by the Deckled Circle Dies, and the bouquet of flowers is finished with Linen Thread (an absolute must for your stash).
The Cards
When I was finished creating my layouts, I had lots of paper and embellishments left over, so quickly put together these cards. (And I still have plenty of paper and embellishments left!)
