Hi – thanks for checking me out! (I don’t mean like that!!)
But I love that you’ve clicked on this link to learn more about me (& perhaps how I can help or inspire you). So here goes …
I’m a Mum of 2 very handsome men (I know, how could I be that old??!!), wife to my husband of 20 years (Paul), and hold amateur status as a blogger, photographer & tennis player, I love traveling, home decor, album making, and to bake (probably because I have a very sweet tooth that always needs indulging). I hope to share a little of my life and loves on here with you all.
How I create my albums has changed over the years as I’ve grown and learned – my albums today are designed to show that it’s the little moments that make up the bulk of our lives, to treasure and be grateful for each of those moments, and they ensure I’m creating great moments to capture in future.
I ‘reluctantly’ fell into scrapbooking 20 years ago when I was living in the States. I turned down my first invitation to a scrapbooking party because ‘it wasn’t for me’. BUT my bestie Christine persevered with me and long story short – here I am with 20 years of album making history behind me, and 17 years of teaching it in NZ. Along with my personal love of and joy in the process, I hold a very strong belief in the VALUE of creating albums for your children, especially if you journal with words of love and encouragement to them. They truly are the ultimate gift.
To this end I LOVE all things photos and albums, so teach and use both traditional and digital scrapbooking products (along with a little Project Life like stuff!). I love mixing all of the different mediums – because who says you have to stick with one type?!! (or is it that I just can’t make up my mind??!!)
Four years ago (2014) I joined Close To My Heart as a founding consultant when they started business in NZ – they have an incredible product range which I’m so happy to represent, and love sharing both the products and the business opportunity with other addicts! I have an amazing team of passionate woman (& one man) scattered throughout NZ. Joining CTMH has also expanded my repertoire, so along with album making, I now also teach cardmaking, stamping and papercrafting (another example of me having to eat my words!), and proof that you don’t need to BE creative to love creating.
I also represent FOREVER which offers a complete solution for a digital world. This includes incredible organisational software for your digital photos, permanent online storage and software and printing facilities for amazing digital books and projects.
I know in today’s busy world it can be difficult to make the time at home to sort and record your photos – which is why I run a range of classes and ongoing workshops.
To help you get started, or to simply share your passion, maybe you’d like to host an in-home class – I get to reward you with free products through our generous REWARDS programme and get to share new scrapbooking, stamping or cardmaking techniques with you and your friends.
If you’d like to ‘do something with your photos’, but are just feeling overwhelmed at the thought of it – CALL ME! (021 704678) I’d love to be your photo ‘personal trainer’. We’ll sit down privately (no charge) and look at where your photos are at, and work out an achievable plan for getting them sorted, and into some type of album/s. Likewise if you have started something in the past, and are ready to get back to it now – I’m your girl.
If you’d like a little time out from life, and would like to do something creative and purposeful, it could be that CARDMAKING is the perfect activity for you. In my two hour classes you’ll create 3 simple but stunning cards. Cardmaking is another ‘double the joy’ activity – you won’t believe how therapeutic it is to sit down and create, and then there’s another joy coming when you actually give the card! Check out my class schedule – beginners always welcome!
Lastly, you could already be an ‘addict’ who would just enjoy getting together with lovely like-minded ladies – I run monthly workshops, quarterly celebration crops, and an annual retreat – and we’d love you to JOIN us. I have a beautiful studio at my home in Auckland, but also run larger events quarterly at other venues around Auckland and NZ. Check out the Events tab for what’s available this month, and join my VIP group on Facebook for a real crafting community.
I’d love to keep in touch – so please subscribe to my newsletter. Once a month you’ll hear from me, with all of my class options for the upcoming month, and any specials that you may want to take advantage of.
I’d so love to be part of your memory keeping/creative journey. Sharing people’s lives in this way is such a privilege and pleasure.
Thanks for popping by,
