Candid Moments – Australasian blog hop

Hi and welcome to our Candid Moments Australasian blog hop. If you arrived here from Scissors Paper Heart you’re in the right spot. If you just happened upon me, even better, because you’re now part way through a great little blog hop of inspiration, using the Candid Moments suite of products from CTMH.

It is such a beautiful range, really versatile, and perfect for celebrating all your favourite everyday memories.

I have several projects planned, but the first thing I’ve created with it is a scrapbook layout. We attended a high tea at a beautiful historic home in Auckland (Alberton House), and I found some of the stickers were perfect for the theme.

There is quite an array of elements on this layout, so let me share them in more detail.

The background paper is from the Paper and Sticker pack – it has a beautiful gradient from blue to the yellow. To ‘maximise’ my paper, I cut the centre of this sheet out, as I just wanted it for the background. As you can see, I have another piece from that pack that’s my main sheet.

The little bunting stickers on the sticker sheet were just perfect, as they mirror the bunting that was on the balcony of the house. Did you see that I’ve used the silver twine tied in bows at each end to finish that off??

Other products used

Now to be fair, it’s not often I use flowers on a layout. As the only girl in the household, they never seem overly suitable. So I was really delighted that this was just perfect to add a cluster to, and the new CTMH Layered Flowers Thin Cuts are simply fabulous. There’s a great variety of flowers and elements, so you can mix and match for so many different affects. It’s easy to know what colours to create these in, using the recommended co-ordinating colours on the zip strip of each sheet of patterned paper.

Next up – my journalling box and tags. So this uses one of my favourite products in the new CTMH catalogue. I just know I am going to use this again and again on my scrapbook pages, and have already made a couple of cards using it also.

CTMH buildable tag dies

This set is called Buildable Tags Thin Cuts, and as you can see above, it has quite a few elements in it. The little pocket is made with the die that has the heart cut from it (bottom left in the picture). I’ve obviously covered that up in this instance with my tea cups.

I really love that not only do you have great tag shapes, but you also get the little surround from the ‘hole’. It really finishes off each tag.

Because I had so much to write, I printed my journalling out, and then cut it with the tag shape. If you’d like to know how to do this using the free Canva software, check out the video below.

I’m sure you have many ‘candid moments’ to record, and this paper suite may be just perfect for it.

Along with the papers, there is also a great workshop kit.

Can you see now why ordering some of this range is a good idea?!

If you’re a kiwi, and don’t already have a consultant, you can purchase everything you’ve seen here, on my website, but many items only available until the end of December, so don’t dilly dally, order them NOW. 😊

If you liked my layout, or anything you saw, leave a comment below, before you head away for more inspiration with Danni @the Scrappy Chicks.

  1. Love your layout. I might need to keep some of this collection for my birthday pics later in the year as I am celebrating with a high tea!
