Hi and welcome aboard the Colour Your Life Australasian Close To My Heart Blog Hop.
If you’ve arrived here from Passionate About Pages then you’re in the right place. If you’re here because you were just browsing my page, then you’re in for a treat – just follow the link at the bottom of this post to continue on to more SOTM (Stamp of the Month) inspiration.
Today I’m showcasing CTMH’s April SOTM – Colour Your Life.
The stamp is just $7.50 with a $75 purchase (or $30.50 on its own) What a bargain huh?! But only available in April (the stamp AND the deal!).
So here’s the beautiful stamp set – it’s got a LOT on it! The words are a great size for your scrapbook pages, and look good as they are, or for those who like ‘more’, can be coloured for extra pizzazz and to co-ordinate further with the colours on your page or in your photos.

Colour Your Life – April 2018 SOTM
But although this stamp set lends itself to scrapbookers, I had a bunch of celebration cards to make to recognise some awesome efforts within my team, so it was cards I made.
Cardmakers have not been left out.
As you can see, all of the cards are different, using a mix of the Gimme Some Sugar paper suite.
Because cardmaking design doesn’t come easily to me (or at all!), I ‘cheated’ by using CTMH’s cardmaking design book to help me – this card is from Pattern 15. If you’re like me, then trust me, this book is a MUST. It has totally simplified and de-stressed all my cardmaking efforts, and means I’m no longer reliant on Pinterest and ‘caseing’ ideas.
Here’s a close up of one of the cards, on this one I used the ‘stitching’ from the stamp set as the border highlight. You’ll see from the cards above that I ‘trialled’ different placements of the stitching. I liked this one the best – do you agree?
The card is finished off with a little subtle bling – the Gimme Some Sugar cork shapes – so stinkin’ cute huh?!!
So for me, I’m off to write in those cards, and get them in the post. For you – I hope they’ve inspired you to celebrate someone / something. Feel free to copy the ideas. If you’d like to order any of the products used to create these, they’re available from your CTMH consultant. However, if you don’t have a consultant, I can help you out – just email me, or shop on my website https://megan.closetomyheart.co.nz/
Before you leave, I’d love it if you could ‘leave a footprint’ – either ‘like’ this, or leave a comment.
Now, it’s off for even more inspiration with Doreen.
Happy crafting,
