May / June New Product Blog Hop

If you are coming from Brenda Lapp then you are on the right track. If you just happened along though, welcome to a ‘blog hop’. Read on to find some great inspiration below, and then carry on the ‘hop’ by clicking on the link at the bottom. You can find a complete list of participants here.

I hope you’ve checked out the book online, or perhaps even have a copy in your hot little hands.

It’s difficult for me to say which paper suite I like the most in this book. As I am a Mum to boys, and do a lot of outdoors activities, I am definitely drawn to Aurora.

BUT, how could you not also love the ‘happiness’ of the Stitched Together range.

Not to mention the new mix ins – possibly my favourite EVER as I find background papers like these SO versatile.

But with all that being said, it was Aurora I started playing with first.

I created a double page layout combining the Aurora papers with the Aurora Scrapbooking stamp / thin cut set. Not only do I love the images on this stamp set, but I think the thin cuts are great generic shapes to use over and over again. For me they seemed like an essential the instant I saw them.

I’ve used the hexagon thin cut shape to cut my background design. Don’t forget you can cut through two sheets of paper at once – this saves a lot of time when doing a design like this.

The Adventure Outside stamp is designed to fit into the hexagon thin cut as well, but you’ll see I created variety on the page by laying the hexagons two different ways. Did you pick that up?

I also used another new thin cut on the page. The Tabs & Tags is another essential for me (if I call it essential it’s way easier to justify having to have it!). But seriously, I already use tags a lot, and I love the addition of photo tabs.

Thanks for hanging out with me here. If you liked my layout, I’d love it if you left a comment before you hop on over to our next artist. The inspiration will continue with Stamp with Stefani.

If you’re in NZ, you can purchase any of the products you’ve seen (& MORE) on my website.

Happy creating,
