The best ‘splots’ …

Wondering what I’m talking about??!!  I wouldn’t be surprised.  Not sure if ‘splots’ is a real word or not, but it’s my word today.

I’m still on the topic of favourite stamps, and the two I’m going to showcase below are similar, but different.  They’re totally versatile, great for scrapbooking and cardmaking.

The first is called Brushstrokes (C1608).

These make the perfect distressed  background

Here I’ve stamped it behind a little title on a journalling box in my album;

And here it is as the feature on a card;

Great stamp huh?  Trust me, you’ll be surprised by how much use you get out of it.

My next stamp is similar – but even more ‘distressed’ or should I say grunge.  If you want to ‘rough’ things up a bit, then this is how.

Meet Ink Blot (D1660);

As the mother of boys, I was instantly attracted to this, and could see lots of uses for it.  It’s been used a lot in ‘Urban’ artwork just like as below.

But my dear and very clever friend Chris Lothian showed us all how to use it for other things.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE how she used it on this page;

Isn’t this page just stunning?!

Want to put these two stamps sets on your must have list now??
